Brandon Medical Centre History

Was founded in 1998 by Dr Ken Holmes, and is providing care  to the community  since then.

Having started in Day Place, the practice is now situated  no.5  Hoffmann’s Terrace,  Basin Rd.   Tralee.

The practice provides quality community based- General Practice services .

We aim to be the point of first contact for many medical and health problems.    If referral to hospital or specialist care is needed, we will try to refer the patient to the  hospital or specialist who is most suited to the  need of each individual.

Detailed knowledge of the local hospital services , both public and private are used to assess each referral decision.

The mission is to provide a high quality, available, modern GP service to patients of all ages, and all walks of life.

Brandon Medical Centre is a teaching practice affiliated to the South West Postgraduate Training Scheme for General Practice, and has been since 2002

We are also a practice affiliated to the Medical school in NUI Dublin, and  students from the UCD Medical school take part in teaching attachments in the practice at different times of the year.
