Brandon Medical Centre is an accredited centre for GP Training, and attached to the South West GP Training Programme, which is based at Solas House, North Campus, IT Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Doctors training to be full-time GPs work a four-year programme, which involves usually 2 years of hospital training, and then 2 separate years, each in a different practice.
Doctors on the programme are  attached to the practice and work for one year.
They are closely supervised by Dr. Holmes, who has been a GP Trainer since 2005.

MEDICAL STUDENTS (NUI Dublin, School of Medicine)

A few times per year, medical students from NUI Dublin take part in a one week attachment at the Brandon Medical Centre, to get an experience of learning medicine in the community.
