• a native of Limerick City, Dr. Holmes graduated from the Sligo GP Training Scheme in 1991

• GP Practice Ballyanders/Galbally, Co. Limerick  1994-1998

• Brandon Medical Centre, Tralee.    1998 to the present.

• GP Trainer since 2003, South West GP Training Programme
